Happy Introduction
Hello! What a great site this is! I am so glad I found it. I have decided to quit smoking and I know it will be hard. I really could use some people to talk to who know what I am going through and don't just lecture me on why it's important to quit.... I know it's important to quit but that doesn't make it any easier! Anyways, I am looking forward to meeting some new friends here. Happy HappyForever!!!!!!!

Hello! I am not quit yet but I know one of the toughest times for me will be right in the morning. I love having my morning herbal tea with a cigarette. Does any one have any suggestions on how I can deal with mornings? Mornings are tough enough as it is! :( HappyForever!!!!!!!

Slipping is my number one concern! I have been quit for a few months before but I was never able to stick to it. I really want to make sure I stick with it this time but it's soooo hard! I am always able to convince myself that one puff isn't that big of a deal and then before you know it I am a full blown smoker again! Now that I am writing this out I guess the obvious key would be just avoiding that one puff... If only I could think logically when I am having a bad craving and believe this then. Can anyone relate? HappyForever!!!!!!!

Thinking about it
Hello, I am thinking about getting pregnant and as a result have been thinking about quitting smoking. So far no luck on quitting. I am thinking it might be easier when I actually am pregnant. Could it cause any problems if I smoked before I got pregnant?

Past chewer
I chewed before I was a smoker - I know..kinda gross for some... but I liked it then. Once I started smoking I stopped chewing. I am worried if I stop smoking I'll start chewing again in order to cope. Has this been a problem for anyone else?

Can't sleep!!
Hi everyone! I am Poppy & I quit smoking a week ago... and haven't slept since!!! At least it feels that way. Usually I fall asleep the second my head hits the pillow & then I'm out all night, no problem. But now I am just lying there forever and when I finally fall asleep, I wake up a bunch of times. Nothing else has changed other than quitting but does that even make sense that they are connected?? I am pregnant, so I need my sleep... Does anyone else have this problem?!?

New Mom
Hello Pregnets! I am a new mom with a beautiful little baby girl. I quit smoking when I was pregnant with her and I am so glad I was able to do that. But now that she's a few months old, I'm smoking again. I never planned on going back to smoking but that fell apart with the stress I've been having as a new single mom. I love my daughter so much but things have been hard and cigarettes have always been my way of coping. I don't know if I can deal with my stress without cigarettes but I don't want to smoke because I don't want to expose my daughter to that or for her to see me smoking when she is older. I think I am going to try quitting next week but I don't know if I will be able to.

Second Hand Smoke
I have to admit, straightaway that I am not a pregnant women who smokes! However I am a smoker and my wife is pregnant. I worry about smoking around my wife, but there's no way that I can quit right now. If I smoke outdoors (while she's pregnant) would that be OK?

SO excited to find this site!
Hello! Words can't express how happy I am to find this resource! I am currently 7 weeks pregnant with my 5th child. It was an unexpected pregnancy (I was on the pill) but a very much wanted and loved baby. This will be my 1st child with my husband who I married this May. My older kids are 15,13,10 & 9 so I haven't done the 'baby thing' in awhile! Like I said, this was unexpected, so I was smoking when I conceived the baby. I've known I was pregnant for 26 days now and I'm still smoking. I have SUCH shame over this. I know shame will get me nowhere though and I'm so so glad to see the positive support and information here. I have improved greatly- I was smoking 15-20/day and now I'm down to about 5-6. I very much want to quit for the baby's health, my health, my older children and my husband. My husband smokes as well and is also trying to quit. Honestly the fact that he smokes too makes this harder- when he smokes I want to go smoke with him, it's such habit! I look forward to exploring this site further. My intention is to set a quit date for the day after tomorrow. I have 4 cigarettes left and I really don't want to break down and buy another pack. Best wishes to all!

Hello!
Hi everyone, I'm happy to find this site. I just started my 2nd trimester and recently quit smoking. It's really tough not to pick up a cigarette but so far I'm doing good! One thing that has been helping is Nicorette gum. Does anyone know if there is a limit to how much I can use? Jazmin

Hi there, just joining the group. I like to quit smoking completely. My quit date is February 23,2014. Don't have any quit plans but reading on it. I was my baby to be as healthy as possible so I would like to quit ASAP. I feel like a terrible mother to be cuz I've been smoking throughout my pregnancy and I desperately want to stop
