Publications

 STOP Program: The Sm​oking Treatmen​t ​for Ontario Patients (STOP) Program is a province-wide initiative delivering s​​moking cessation treatment and counselling support to people who ​want to reduce/quit their tobac​co us​e. ​
TEACH Project: The Training Enhancement in Applied Counselling and Health (TEA​CH) Project provides continuing education and capacity-building focused on training healthcare providers to support their patients/clients with tobacco addiction and cessation, and address e-cigarette use/vaping.
PREGNETS: The Prevention of Gestational and Neonatal Exposure to Tobacco Smoke (PREGNETS) is a network offering information, resources and support to pregnant and postpartum individuals and their health care providers to support the ability to reduce smoking, quit, and stay quit.​​
CAN-ADAPTT: The C​​​anadian Action ​Network for the Advancement, Dissemination and Adoption of Practice-informed Tobacco Treatment (CAN-ADAPTT) was a practice-based research network facilitating research and knowledge exchange among providers, researchers and policy makers in the area of tobacco cessation.
​​NDC​: The Nicotine Dependence Clinic provides treatment options for​ CAMH patients to quit smoking, i​​ncluding providing support from a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, counselling support, and more. ​
PACE: As part of STOP​, Picking Up the PACE is a comprehensive initiative that uses a biopsychosocial and developmental approach to address modifiable risk factors impeding the success of long term tobacco cessation efforts.
COMBAT: As part of the STOP program, The CombAT study aimed to test the effectiveness of a web-based clinical decision support system (CDSS) to enable primary health care providers STOP Program to address risky alcohol consumption among adult smokers making a quit attempt.​​
Mood management: As part of STOP program, the Mood Management initiative was launched in 2018 to support health care providers in the delivery of brief interventions and educational resources to patients presenting risk of depression or depressive symptoms - in order to improve their smoking cessation success.​
TECCY: The Technology-Enabled Collaborative Care for Youth (TECC-​Y) project brings together an interprofessional team —a psychiatrist, an occupational therapist, a dietician, and social worker—to provide holistic care to youth ages 16 to 29 with First Episode Psychosis, through a web-based platform.
NRT to Effect: NRT to Effect is a research study exploring if personalizing the nicotine patch dose to match an individual's needs is a safe and effective way of helping an individual quit smoking.
MATCH: The Medication Aids for Tobacco Cessation and Health is a study with the primary objectiveto evaluate the real-world long-term effectiveness of of bupropion and varenicline treatment in a community sample of smokers interested in quitting.
Food addiction: The Food Addiction study aims to explore the overlap between food addiction and tobacco use disorder.​
