Fundamentals of Tobacco Interventions (FTI) Course
The Fundamentals of Tobacco Interventions (FTI) is a condensed self-study course, adapted from the TEACH Certificate Program Core Course "An Interprofessional Comprehensive Course on Treating Tobacco Use Disorder." This course is suitable for those enrolled with the STOP Program or anyone who wishes to receive basic training in tobacco cessation counselling. The course is organized into three modules: Environment, Behaviour, and Biology.
Course Fee: $150 CDN
Payment can be submitted by credit card or cheque, upon registering. Enrollment will not be completed until payment has been processed. If your organization is enrolled with the STOP Program, there is no fee to take this course.
How to Participate
This course is self-paced, meaning participants can complete all the requirements on their own time. Once all requirements are met, participants will receive an e-mail confirming their completion in the course. Below is the list of requirements:
• Register for the course
• Pay course fees (if applicable)
• Complete the Pre-Course Learning Assessment
• Review all three modules and pass relevant quizzes:
• Complete the Post-Course Learning Assessment
• Complete the Course Evaluation
Note: The FTI course does not serve as a requirement for the TEACH certificate Program.
