Community of Practice (CoP) Webinar Series
Research indicates that there is an approximate 17 year gap between translation of health evidence and actual practice, with only 14% of research evidence incorporated into day-to-day practice.
The TEACH Project’s new 3-part evidence-based Community of Practice webinar series titled “Implementing Tobacco Cessation Programming” explores the framework and recommended strategies to successfully implement tobacco cessation within different settings. The series begins with identifying the Centre for Disease Control’s Interactive Systems Framework, and how this framework can be adopted into practice. The webinars will draw on the experience of the MacKay Manor in the Addictions Sector and Cancer Care Ontario’s tobacco cessation implementation within Regional Cancer Programs.
