 Accreditation

 

The 43.5 hour TEACH Certificate Program provides the context, background and evidence-based knowledge and skills needed to offer intensive tobacco cessation counselling. Program completers receive a Certificate of Completion in Continuing Education in Intensive Tobacco Cessation Interventions from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine: Continuing Education and Professional Development.
 

In order to complete the TEACH Certificate Program, students must complete:
                   - OTRU pre-requisite course (online, 10.5 hours)
                   - Core Course (in-person or online, 19.5 hours)
                   - One Specialty Course (in-person or online, 13.5 hours)

Additionally, students must complete all course requirements and pre- and post-learning assessments.


The TEACH Certificate Program also submits for accreditation by the following organizations:
